From Bio-Research to Logic Loops
Logic Loft Games (LLG) was founded by Tim Nye, a serial entrepreneur whose journey to game development took an unconventional path through the sciences.
While completing a biology degree at the Harvard Extension School—including a research year at Oxford focused on longevity and drug discovery—Tim rediscovered a dormant passion for programming. What started with a Vic-20 in 1980 was reignited by Harvard's CS-50, where his final project, Pairagrams, laid the foundation for what Logic Loft is today.
Every game we make is built out of letters
Each of our games runs on letters and words, and in Pairdle and Pairdle Slide, on letter pairs. That constraint is deliberate. A puzzle you crack by noticing that TH and ER want to sit together, or by spotting the word hiding in a scrambled rack, leaves you with something once the session ends: a wider vocabulary, a better feel for how English fits together, and the pattern instinct that makes tomorrow's puzzle a little easier.
We would rather build a game you finish slightly better at words than you started. That rules out plenty of mechanics we could have used, and it gives every title we ship the same spine: careful dictionary work, a solve that is always fair, and the small click of satisfaction when the word finally lands.
What we're building
Pairdle is our daily puzzle. Place letter pairs into the right slots to crack a six-letter word, with the same puzzle for everyone each day. Play it on the web, iOS, or Android.
Pairdle Slide takes that same letter-pair thinking onto a sliding tile board: rearrange a scrambled grid into themed words and reveal the picture underneath. It launched on iOS and Android in May 2026 — see the Slide page for details.
Word Slots Adventures is a word game shaped like a slot machine. Spin the reels, spell what the letters allow, and collect story cards and artifacts drawn from public-domain classics. Frankenstein and Alice in Wonderland are free to play now.
Pairdle Hunt is built and on its way to the app stores — a build-a-word hunt across a letter board that never empties. Epic Words is our word-ladder adventure, climbing one word at a time across a fantasy map.

We are always looking at new games, and not only our own. If you have built a puzzle or word game you think deserves a wider audience, we would like to see it. We are actively interested in bringing outside titles to the players we already have.
